The International Research and Partnerships Office is thrilled to announce its first annual People around the World ‘PAW’ Conference to showcase the U of S’ resolve to acquire and share knowledge in the service of society and become distinguished as a globally-influential and engaged academic institution.
Who: faculty, researchers, and senior students in fields related to the improvement of the wellbeing of people around the world, vis-a-vis the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals
What: PAW 2018 – Global Learning, Mutual Gain
The U of S community is engaged in phenomenal international projects with great potential to positively affect global issues related to resource insecurity, indigenous peoples, gender, community health, and more. Beyond our current and past successes, we will explore what we are capable of as members of the international U of S community and learn how to unlock the potential that internationalizing our research, outreach, and engagement holds.
Why: to provide value to the U of S community by providing capacity-building and internationalization information and by creating a space for mentorship relationships and new ideas and partnerships to begin and grow.
